every star needs a team

When Ron was around, especially in his final two seasons where he underlined his supremacy, MU's goal celebration seemed only just a little bit more enthusiastic than mere formality. Now that he's gone, it was such a joy to watch the lads celebrate. There was joy, enthusiasm, and I'm sure; relief.

Ron is a great, great player and I'm proud that MU was where he started becoming great. He's a joy to watch and all and if I'm honest I'll say the excitement rating went down several notches now he's gone to Madrid. Still, life must go on. And now is a very good time, if not the best, for MU to really focus on teamwork.

It's back to the good ol' days when the star of the team is none other than Fergie.

what money can do

Money, on its own, cannot make anyone happy. We are happy when we have money because we start to anticipate and expect to buy things that might make us happy. In other instances it might be because we can buy things for people we (genuinely) love and care for, and they become happy, which results in us becoming happier as well.

But still, we are not happy because we have lots of money, per se. Say, we are trapped in some cave and there is no way at all that we can get out and no one knows we're stuck there BUT we have like, 3 trillion USD at our disposal (the size of Obama's stimulus package, yo!), will we be happy? Well I know I won't. And it's not because the USD is not backed by anything. You can change the currency, I still won't be happy. Not even with the Yen or Dinar. Not even on a more exalted proportions.

So with respect to this, I wonder how a Muslim, or any other human being from any other faiths which do not condone illegal money (I'm sure there are lots, if not all), can be happy just by obtaining money from sources which are haram. I've lots of haram money yo! Cool huh? No, no. this is absurd. It must then be that that particular person is happy with the haram money because s/he can anticipate or expect to buy things that can make her/him happy, or make someone s/he loves and cares for happy.

But what do you buy with haram money that can genuinely make you happy? Or alternatively, what can you buy for your loved ones using haram money that can make them happy and contented? The best thing you can do then, is buy them stuffs but not tell them that they were bought using haram money. But if you do that, you'd be betraying the trust of the very people you love and care for, no?

Choose to get out of the cave and not the money, come on.

the problem with lawyers and politicians is

they can't talk straight. You ask them some simple yes or no question like; 'do you breath?' and they'll go; 'oxygen is necessary for the cells in the body to function appropriately'. Damn.

harga minyak nak turun?

We were given a September deadline, if I'm not mistaken. And by then, China would continue as usual with their production of whatever -since the Olympics would have ended- consuming huge amounts of energy in the process.

So we'll see

Malaysian flag in New York

"..top 66 countries participating in the Olympics, based on the number of athletes attending from each country."

Between the lines: Countries with money (to send lots of athletes)

gajah sama gajah

"a 3,000-strong police force had been deployed to Permatang Pauh to keep watch and prevent any untoward incidents."

Wahai ahli-ahli politik yang tolol dan mementingkan diri sendiri, how much more money of ours will you spend for all these activities of yours?

..untuk keadilan. Ye sangat lah tu.

nostalgia

Making life miserable with Vista;

Create document in Word 07. Want to save as Word 03. Stalled. Restart
Successful in saving as Word 03. Create a few more documents. Save a few more documents. Go to folder to create new (sub)folder. Notice some just-saved files are 0KB (zero kilobyte). Click to open zero kilobyte file. Stalled. Restart
Open folder. Zero kilobyte files no longer zero. Click to move files. Cursor starts to animate but nothing else happens. Stalled. Restart
Successful in moving files. Files are already in new subfolder but still the animated-and-supposedly-very-attractive progress bar blinks and indicates 'Removing Files from..' Stalled. Restart

Thank you Vista for the nostalgic moments. It's been ages since I've to restart so many times just to do some simple work.
